*********CIMA FUND UPDATE*********

Good morning all,

The CIMA Fund Trip will take place October 12 through 21, 1998.

Steve (SWW) and Bill (BullionBill on RB) will be our representatives in Bolivia in just 10 days.

Steve is a geologist who will be going at his own expense. Bill has been able to arrange plane fare for only $700.00 using airline credits, an excellent fare considering that October 12th is coming up fast. Sun River has invited an independent geologist along as well.

Steve and Bill will take pictures and keep a journal. The fund will provide money for video, photography supplies, and developing. We can expect a wonderful report from Steve and Bill and I am excited that the 1998 Cima Fund Trip has finally taken shape.

CIMA Fund members have been notified and the response has been very positive, only one refund has been requested so far with 17 responses to date. I would like to thank the fund members for their prompt responses. Comments and concerns from fund members will be forwarded to Steve and Bill.

Sun River Mining Co. is facilitating the trip. They stepped up to the plate when GE would not chaperone the 1998 trip themselves. The rainy season would prevent a trip in 1998 after October. There are many GE shareholders among the Sun River group. They feel both companies can benefit from a shareholder expedition to Bolivia. Several reporters, (WSJ, USA Today, Bolivian), will be contacted and extended an invitation to join the expedition. I appreciate Sun River's contributions in making this trip a reality.

SR will provide third party introductions to high level government officials, including the Vice President of Bolivia. They will provide vehicles, interpreters, accommodations if necessary, and will provide video documentation. A production company will film the trip and I am hoping to see a broadcast of the trip soon on a cable channel. {{{ : - )

Bill and Steve will be able to do GE DD and will get close to GE's concession, if not on it. They will meet the locals and probably coop members. This trip is intended to provide shareholder DD and potentially excellent PR for GE. Those concerned that GE's toes will be stepped on need to trust in the good judgement of Steve and Bill and the common goal of success shared by the junior mining companies in that region.

I will send a request though Guy Murrel that GE accomodate their visiting shareholders in Bolivia. Maybe now that the trip is going to occur, they will want to be part of the event. I hope so.

I am excited about the trip. The Press may go along, several more people are interested in going. Jim or I will keep you updated.

The CIMA Fund Expedition is going to happen!

Colleen
