Good comments. I suspect that WP will go into a holding pattern. There will be superficial changes, minor feature updates, etc. After the current WP developers finish up their contract extensions, there will not be enough knowledge left for the product to have non-trivial changes made without blowing out other unexpected parts of the program. By the time they figure the source out, it will be too late. MSoft will have released Office 2000.

Paul Skillen said that Mikes story of how fast they were able to take the code from Ventura and get a release out was not really correct. He said that it took around 2 years to really figure it out. WP is a magnitude more complicated.

Interesting comments about the progress with JBridge. Of course that is also interesting as much for the fast that it came from a small NH company. They tried finishing it up inhouse, I believe ended up sending it back to NH to be finished.

I was needing to use a graphics pixel editing program the other day, so I pulled out my Photo-Paint 7 and installed it. The program still works fine, but it blew out several DLL's in my NT system32 directory that caused Outlook and several other programs to quit working. It took several hours to clean that mess up. It seems like there is always a gotcha somewhere with their products.

You should change your name from Offshore to Off Your Rocker. First of all I would be interested to know what top executives you have been talking. I know for a fact feature lists and direction for WordPerfect 10 are already being drawn. I am very familiar with the top executives at Corel and not one of them would make such a comment.
Your comment about Draw is vague and incredibly misleading.

Oracle buy Corel, your way out! They especially wouldn't do it just to piss of Gates. Maybe you should get back to running your bicycle shop.

Unless you can back up your gossip with names, times and places, everything you say is no better than most of the diarrhea spewed on this thread

Off shore- we all saw your jBridge post and I guess our lack of response kind of maybe told you something.. I wouldn't tell anyone about buying a stock at 19 , holding it for a long time , selling it for 3 then watching it go to 3.60 the same day -----, in that sense ,you are a better person , I guess.... by the way , do you want to buy my father's trailer in Lake Worth - this is coming from a very serious Phil, the five thousand a year in park fees killed him and it is killing me right now.Do you know the name of the MacDonalds Coffee Too Hot lawyer ? I'm being serious, this issue is hurting much worse then your posts dickhead.
