There is no connection between fuel cell and Turbogenset. Connection for Global is to round out their product line. existing products are up to 500w, 1 KW at pinch. Fuel Cell is for power of 1KW to 10KW and Turbo products are for 10KW thru 100KW . 40KW will run house nicely. Those folks in Quebec last winter would have loved to have a Turbo gen when transmission lines all came down in the ice storm. They were scrambling to get little Honda generators to give themselves some light. The army was driving trucks with huge diesel generators for sanctuary locations. Think of mining exploration and remote camps road building all need large amounts of power. A generator weighing 200 lbs generating same power as one weighing 2 tons would have a huge market potential and this is what Global has realised.

First quarter results were actually released July 27th. Counting three months forward, I figure the second month's will be towards the end of October. I don't know for sure.

Jim Perry told me they would be ramping up heater production through the second quarter. IE. Some additional heater revenues will be recognised in the next statement. Hopefully that'll mean a jump in Q2 earnings. I wouldn't expect a dramatic jump until Q3. The main reason Q1 was down was because there were more shares than in the previous year. Also, Q1 in the previous year had some extraordinary one time revenues.

Starting in September, shipments should have been 200 units per month.

When I look at the Turbo Genset web page, I see a powerful technology with only a minimal distribution channel. Even though the memorandum is in the early stages, I'd expect them to come to an agreement. Global would get an exciting new technology to round out their product line and Turbo Genset would get access to Global's customers. It's good for both companies.

By the way, I asked Jim Perry about their rights to the fuel cell technology. They have a non-exclusive worldwide right to use it. He said that so far they are the only licensee and that the R&D they've done to commercialize it has made the prototype their own.

I asked what he thought about the competing fuel cell product from GE and he said it was targeted after a different market. It sounds like Global's short term plans are to offer the fuel cell to their existing customers. If it works well, they'd consider licensing it to bigger partners for other applications.
