I ended up getting the Sony dual mode phone, which is just like the QCP-2700. They were offering $30 rebates which made it the same price as the Qualcomm phone. Besides the 500 minute anytime anywhere plan for $50, they were also offering a 200 minutes anytime plan for $30, which is what I chose. The coverage is good in the Bay Area, and the jog dial is really cool. You can operate the phone with one hand, which leaves one hand free to hold the beer can while you're driving down the freeway. ;-)
