Ericsson founder member in Global GSM association

Ericsson joins the recently founded Global Mobile Suppliers Association - GSA.
For end-users this initiative will further support the creation of new
applications as well as enable the use of GSM services on new markets.

GSA brings together suppliers of GSM solutions and services on all continents.
The new association will allow suppliers to further focus on promoting GSM on
a global level and encourage development of GSM-based software tools and
applications.

Ericsson is one of 21 GSM suppliers that founded the association to further
promote solutions and services to support existing and future users. GSA
includes companies from all across the supply chain, for example suppliers of
infrastructure, terminals, billing and customer care solutions, components and
semiconductors.

Currently GSM has more than 110 million users, making it the world's most
widely used and fastest-growing mobile communications offering. More than half
of those GSM users are connected via Ericsson systems.

Ericsson's 100,000 employees are active in more than 130 countries. Their
combined expertise in fixed and mobile networks, mobile phones and infocom
systems makes Ericsson a world-leading supplier in telecommunications.
