Gap Down Short Pretty simple actually. Since C gapped down at open from 48 to 46, and then rose to 47 by 10:30 and dropped back, you set the buy equal to 47.125 and the short at 45.875. If the price is already at the low, you just short it then (thats what the threshold means - if it retrenches past the low or swing above the high its in its momentum run for the day). In this case you would have made about $3 on a $45.875 short, and since it was still down at close and today looked crappy you hold overnight or play the gap again. Holding overnight would have added a couple of more bucks to that short. lastshadow
