RE 125% mortgages
What about the poor dumb little guy that believed the mantra "It will go up for ever" and used that money from his home to buy - oh let's say - EBAY opening day on margin.
this could get very ugly. Very soon.

Last night I watched Rubin and Lou Dobbs. Rubin has a way of giving himself away with body language, that is, his words belie his body posture. It seems when he is asked a question that makes him uncomfortable he lowers his chin, and twists his head in the direction of the interviewer and from the corners of his eyes maintains eye contact. All the time while twisting his hands and arms in geatures that appear to cover his body and face. When asked by Dobbs for a remedy of economic meltdown, Rubin was clearly feeling awkward when he replied that the answers are in the Japanese solving their problem.

On the other hand, when Rubin is asked a simple question of which he feels comfortable with, he sits upright in his chair, holds his head high and looks directly to the interviewer. Rubin, I believe, is clearly uncomfortable with these types of interviews. For his body language suggests he is uncomfortable with his vague answers.
