A roll-up strategy in an industry with no economies of scale (I thought all these Ponzi schemes had already been taken out to the barn and shot), and it has a PE of 100. This looks like the perfect short. It has all the qualities of Amazon, except none of the short-busters. Target price? IPO was at ~3. <g>

Look up "leverage" (noun) and see definition 3.

Of course, the meaning has been loosened to include derivatives that offer price appreciation that is large in comparison with their cost. I did not say "always." Now I guess anyone can quibble about "usually" who wants to. But "leverage" as in "a leveraged buyout" means the use of borrowed money to acquire large assets, and was commonly used of funds and accounts that operated on credit. I would call many of the present "hedge funds" leveraged arbitrage funds.
