MB: Your question about cash availability is a good one given the capital constraint environment of the day.

While the larger contract assemblers are in Korea (Anam, AMKR-the US arm), Thailand (I think Alphatec is still holding on barely), and Hong Kong (QPL is still healthy and they own Newport WaferFab in the UK as well), there are many assemblers emerging in Taiwan (where the capital structure is still sound), and a very large number in the US. Foundries are also beginning assembly houses (Singapore Technologies' STAT affiliated with Chartered as an example).

Bottom line, there will be plenty of companies who can invest, and those that cannot will lose share.
