This is what has bothered me for a while. While I don't think we'll drop to historic norms (around PE=14, I believe), I do think it is about a given that we will pull back to the 20 range. With 98 earnings, that will mean about S&P 500 of around 850, or 15% below where we are.

That's the bad part. The geniouses on Wall Street still have earnings growth rates of 10 to 15% plugged in for the next two quarters. Give me a break, they'll be very lucky to see a 0% growth rate for most of the next year, and most likely negative growth for the next couple quarters. When they are forced to start cutting their projections while PE's contract, well...
