LG ***OT****

Since I got such a great response from the last Patton Quote I thought I would see how many could find fault with this one. <g>

“ “Do not regard what you do as “preparation” for doing the same thing more fully or better at some later time. Nothing is ever done twice. There is no next time. Treat everything you do as a “Final Heat”.

Never stop being ambitious. You have but one life, live it to the fullest of glory and be willing to pay any price. Never stop until you have gained the top or the grave for it is better to live in the limelight for a year than in the wings forever. The world has no use for a defeated soldier and nothing too good for a victor.

You must be single-minded, drive for the one thing on which you have decided. You will find that you will make some people miserable; those you love and very often yourself. And, if it looks like you are getting there, all kinds of people, including some whom you thought were loyal friends, will suddenly show up doing their Goddamnest, hypocritical best to trip you up, blacken you, and break your spirit. But, by perseverance, and study and eternal desire, you will exit the victor.

At the close of this war, I will remove my insignia and wristwatch. I will continue to wear my short coat so that everyone can kiss my ass.” ”

General George S. Patton

Well LG, CNBC just said we should thank C for the rally today. :-)

I think we should thank Friday for the rally. I keep remembering what rrman said about bear markets usually rally on Friday to keep people believing it will be OK.
