In Oct 1990, Asia was not in an economic meltdown. The fed had not arranged a bailout of a $3.4 billion hedge fund fiasco, run riot.
The US president wasn't a lame duck and disappointing corporate earnings weren't being flashed several times a day. High flying stocks were reporting earnings not results.
William, this is 1998, please get current.
