I came extremely close to liquidating my entire SI portfolio today
as I have seen 50 thousand dollars of my 70thousand plus side vanish this week---my prime motive for liquidating is my concern regards NTKI--I rather sell it with my entire SI holdings than just it--and start fresh at a later date---I was then put on the phone with the
Branch manager of AG Edwards--in which we talked about NTKI,and my concern that it might be tanking to below a dollar, which would be
56,000 thousand loss for me----I stated the it is apparent that Bear-Stearns has shorted this stock and are out to kill it---he stated that any company that has Paul Allen behind it is going to get the neccessary support(Paul Allen being the third richest man in the US and a major backer and promoter of NTKI) --my frustration is compounded by
Merril Lynch who believes so much in NTKI that they recommended it
as one of the top 22 tech investments for the longterm along with the likes of MSFT,DELL and Cisco----it is incredibly frustrating to do research like this and then see the stock blow-up.
I noted that in the first days of Nasdaq's downturn it was holding
up extremely well--it had only lost 2% in value--and then suddenly while the Greenspan announcement about the 1/4point interest
rate reduction,NTKI caved in worse than any other Internet stock on a percentage basis and is now down 45% since Tuesday---sorry to bother everyone with all this--I really have nothing more to contribute to the thread now that I am up against it---Max

Hello David,et All.. David, thanks for the site,I'll study up this weekend. Well, was going to stay away from the Overseas fund, but decided to move from the Growth and Income into the Overseas. Hoping for a nice bounce Monday, and will take advantage if I get it<g>..It got hammered again, (DAX down 15% +/- in 3 days),if the DOW can hold, overseas markets should make a good pop. Also believe Brazil holds elections this weekend, and some analysts think it should help..DD
