Price cutting is a bad strategy in the ERP market. It's a bad sign for the whole ERP market too. I have thought that SAP should trade more on par with peoplesoft for a while. Although SAP is now close to where Peoplesoft was at that time, now that Peoplesoft has tanked, I think SAP may have farther to fall.

SAP CEO said quarter's earnings to be in line with estimates.
He talked at Stanford yesterday.

I think this is a great news for SAP, long term. However with global financial turmoil and the ongoing bear market, SAP may fall further towards lower valuations.
