The fed reserve could be meeting to reduce the interest rates by another .25% or even .5% !!!!!

what are 30yr treasuries now? 4.7%. if you can't do 4.7% per annum in the stock market...

right now you could just about throw a dart at the board and do better than 4.7% for the next 12 months

I didn't see a report on Rubin's press briefings,only bits and pieces of it but this one looks promising as long as it not the usual political talk. Everybody seems to be taking the talk not body is walking the walk yet,they seem to take the lead from Japan and keep talking except doing anything concrete,perhaps nobody has any ideas except to watch in awe as the world markets collapse around them,oh well it is only money right? Perhaps we need to get the Rocket Scientist and the Nobel laureate from LTC to fix these systemic problems plaguing the nations.<VBG>
