Cobalt - I come from a similar heritage (second-generation American whose grandparents came from Poland but who worked hard and eventually bought their own home here). If you're looking to buy and hold forever you probably found your way to the wrong thread. Lots of folks here at least try to see the world as it is, and for the past couple of years they've viewed the market as an inflating bubble. One day they'll reverse position and feel it's once again time to buy with both hands, but most feel that this isn't quite the time. But who knows for sure? Maybe we're wrong. Only time will tell. Folks here, though, would advise (as Mike did already) to exercise prudence. Ralph
