A very entertaining post, Mike. I laughed. Can we add these predictions?:

Two nations will fight a war: only one will prevail.

A new sports superstar will emerge in the next five years. Commentators will agree that "he came to play."

New technologies will arise; although only a few companies employing these new technologies can survive, hundreds of fledgling companies will be bid to mind-boggling valuations.

In the year 2002, President George W. Bush will be hounded by a Special Prosecutor investigating his personal life/finances/real estate dealings/fund raising efforts/unfulfilled promises premised by a vaguely familiar "read my lips". He will have to resign, allowing Vice President McGwire to become the only former baseball player ever to assume the Presidency.

Donut cakes will be all the rage; as will the McSushi with Cheese(tm).
