CharlieBoy, I look at Y2K mainframe remediation in four phases:

Phase 1: Mid 90s. A select few companies foresee Y2K, get an early jump, and slowly but surely start to fix their programs.

Phase 2: '96-'97. Most large companies start to seriously look at Y2K. Some buy tools to do the work in-house. Some experiment with outsourcing to body shops and consultants.

Phase 3: '98. Tools have all been bought (tool market dries up). Serious work on Y2K begins (leads dry up).

Phase 4: late '98. Y2K failures start to occur. Companies doing the work in-house start to assess their progress and determine whether to redouble their internal efforts or hire companies such as ALYD to do (some of) it for them.

Obviously phase 4 is a guess. Do you get any sense companies that blew you guys off a year ago might (or have) show(n) any interest in talking (, finally)? Have you followed up on some people who showed interest initially but who then decided to take the in-house route, to see how they are doing?

OK Charlie Boy,

Two Democrats were talking about Monika and Paula. The one said to the other...I think Paula is better than Monika. The second Democrat replied...close, but no cigar.

Why did Monika Lewinsky switch to become a Republican. The Democrats left a bad taste in her mouth!
