Don't believe everything you read - even in Barrons - or even my opinion.

However, ...

If the CEO of GE Capital leaves,we could see an even better buying opportunity. But todays's intraday lows were probably it - for now. Perhaps you didn't notice the volume and price recovery before the end of the day.

Watch for a big bounce on or about 10 Oct.(i.e., earnings release).

GE is acquiring foreign assets - on sale. Rumors of GE Capital involvement in the recent hedge fund fiasco are extremely hard to believe.

For the record:GE Capital accounts for over 40% of GE's sales/revenues.

I say - Show me the money! - So far Jack Welch has. Until he stops doing that, why would one short GE?
