I don't think BMFM is typical. He seems to sense large market turns and as well as turns in individual stocks and acts accordingly (suprised he can still post on SI -- hasn't hocked his computer or something)

I used to follow some folks over on the DELL and MSFT threads that used margin. If those stocks ever drop appreciably -- then you will see the effect of leverage.
