The reasons why my sister said she hates Costco is because once they forgot to put her eggs in her cart but charged her for them.

Another time she bought a whole case of olives and after opening a few cans she discovered them to be rotten.

She told me about a third thing as well, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Something that she bought that was defective or rotten.

The point she made to me was that she only goes to Costco every couple of months so it's a major hassle to return these items or complain to get her money back. Much different than a neighborhood store where you can pop in and have them fix the problem.

It's kind of like getting ripped off when you go through the drive-through. You never realize it until your halfway home! By then you don't want to bother to get your problem fixed so you just feel screwed.
