I was a first time buyer today for a fine addition
to my semi-equip portfolio. Glad to be on board
for the long haul!

Have a good weekend,
NorthStar

Another quick once-over of their 10q verifies these figures
(over $7/sh cash, about $11 book, no debt). It's not a
complete no-brainer because they will probably lose money
for another year or so.... but that is arguably factored into
this price after the recent announcement.

Do you have reason to think operating cash flow will remain positive while the co. is losing money? (I think we should include one-time charges, suitably spread over time, as an operating negative here, but am not real sophisticated about cash flow accounting.)
As with any of these companies, we have to worry about what happens
to book and cash, now that we're buying on that basis.

I have now "doubled up", i.e. now have a second third (I try to do thirds in $, not share quantity). Could be a rough year for this stock though, if (as is reasonably likely, in my view), we get a
continuing global recession, and bear market in
the US.

Cheers,

HB

Off point, but spoke with IR last Friday and was told (1) ASYT hasn't purchased stock since its self-emposed quiet period began (15 days before the end of each fiscal quarter), (2) did not identify buyers/sellers of the four 100K share trades last Friday, (3) no institutional ratings changes within the last 3 weeks, and (4) had no other significant comments. Citing the aforementioned quiet period ASYT did not comment on t-stock purchases, if any, to date. comments appreciated. crh
