He was pointing his finger in our faces (yours and mine) and said now listen (which we did) he used every thing he had to be as convincing as he could be so that we'd trust him completely. Ah! The famous "he lied to the American people" argument, eh? Well, guess what? The American people didn't think he was lying to them! He was responding to a bunch of nosy reporters who had no better business than to poke their noses in the pubic hairs of other people. That is personal, not his own business. He was using our support and trust in him to pull it off. Again, from the American people's perspective : Yes, it is personal, and none of the business... of the reporters! And he was using whatever he could to shake them off his back. Dipy.

But he hasn't lied to us about affairs of state.Or so I have no reason to believe.The social contract I have made with BC was one that I expect him to run the country in the manner that he promised and be honest in his dealing with affairs of state.It is ugly that he got caught up in this webb of lies but again they were lies about his personal sex life not what the contract was about.I do not believe for one moment that the lies told about his personal life mean he is lying about affairs of state. That is no more or less than any other politician. pez
