Tokyo VD seems to me you have answered a very basic question. Instead of using male erectile dysfunction pills just apply the same principle to tortillas.

Tokyo, thanks for the response.......

Due to disclosure of details, I feel we will never be able to compare the two contracts. The amount of costs ICOS will incur to further develop, manufacture, and market the product is just one of the unknown areas.

I will say that the $75 million upfront payment before phase III completion seems very generous. Maybe there is a clause of partial return if the results are not significant.

To all:

FWIW, this note came from the SGP analyst at Warburg Dillon Read:

"VASOMAX (oral form of phentolamine mesylate for male erectile dysfunction, Filed 7/98; >$200 million)Vasomax was licensed in from Zonagen (ZONA -$14 9/16-Not Rated) in November 1997. It produces an alpha-adrenergic block of short duration, leading to vasodilation of the vascular smooth muscles that enhances penile blood flow in patients with erectile dysfunction. In two PhaseIII clinical trials, Zonagen was shown to work in 30%-40% of patients with average onset of action at 30 minutes, with nasal congestion being the most common side effect. With Pfizer's Viagra, 70% of patients showed positive effect with average onset in one hour. We believe Vasomax will be used
primarily as a second-line therapy for erectile dysfunction due to its lack of superior efficacy to Viagra. We have peak sales forecasts of $200 million for Zonagen."
