Yes, you are absolutely correct, COMS is not a YUGO and it was a bad analogy. It just popped off the top of my head.

but the MAX and TNT stuff may suffer on behalf of COMS and CSCO on upcoming VOIP, VPN, and cable deals.

Only if ASND stumbles badly. ASND has enough of a jump on these guys to stave them off IF they keep executing.

gfr fan, ASND seems to be at least equal to and probably ahead of of both COMS and CSCO when it comes to VPN, and VOIP. At this point, they don't seem to be playing with cable. And don't discount the future of the MAX TNT. Regardless of what the CSCO hype PR machine publishes, ASND continues to be the leader in this market. COMS seems to have stumbled badly here.

FORE, if they ever figure out that ATM will never win in the LAN, could be a formidable ASND competitor, with the right sales/marketing partner. Perhaps TLAB, when they come out of hiding from the CIEN fiasco.
