Chung, UUNet has a long history, but I seriously doubt the run
on IBM mainframes. Rick Adams started it providing uucp connectivity
services [uucp was the phone based dialup protocol used by most
Unix systems in those days]. Of course they could have supported their
billing/administrative systems on IBM mainframes, but I don't believe
it would have been the primary platform.

As far as your main point goes on Sun not quite garnering the support
it needs, I am beginning to see some changes in attitude and more
importantly they are beginning to show real reflection in policies,
licensing, and support. The NT integration efforts are real. The cost
levels for the integration software is very likely to be realistic
and designed to be truly competetive according to our contacts.
