Not sure where you hear the 100k number, but that's the number of total unique visitors to our site on a daily basis...not the number of "members". There are a lot more non-members than members.

Also, there are about 3000 threads that are active in the last 7 days. Not everyone gravitates to the same ones.

Do you have any other punches you would like to throw?

Bahahah. Are you serious? Raving Bull is the worst blotches of perl code I have ever seen. I seriously think I could implement what they call a "Message Board" over a weekends time. I just hope they are not using dbm files for their database, please don't tell me that :-)At least SI is using SQL for the backend. Although it would appear to be one table housing the message boards, could be wrong though. It will be interesting to see what happens > 10mm rows on MsSQL 7.0. Time for Oracle :-)
