Great article in discussing DSPs. The point here> <Because DSPs are programmable, they can be reconfigured "on the fly" to support multiple standards by simply loading new software. In addition, reprogramming allows telcos to upgrade their equipment with simple software changes, and it helps OEMs develop and test new equipment much faster than they could with all-hardware solutions> With a major overhaul of the judicial-HARDWARE-systems, I get the feeling that New-Software-Giants have yet to stake their claim. Who's the next MS Goliath? ST
