I can honestly say that we not only played by the rules, but bent over backwards to be fair to the sidewalk counselors, even when they insisted on fighting, well, dirty doesn't begin to describe it. That being said, I agree with the rest of your statement. Too much generalizing is done trying to lump the extremes (on both ends) with their mainstream counterparts. It's easier to deal with than having to have a different strategy for each group. It's also easier when you can make everyone who disagrees with you appear to be a demon.
