Joe, maybe LT did not have enough positions in stocks , but I'll bet a lot of hedge funds are pretty jumpy right now . This might explain some of the wild senseless gyrations, in the markets if they are unwinding quickly. If heads at top institutions are rolling, I would believe they are trying to clean those books up fast, before they come under scrutiny...You can bet that it is not John Q who is flying into the S&P pit gobbling up everything in sight. russell
