I stayed in the Ritz in London. I had no lodgings for the night and I was back packing across Europe, starting in London (flew into Heathrow - standby - those were the good old days). I walked into the lobby with my back pack and asked if they had a room (I believe it was the only room left in London that night and it was raining). The lady said yes as I was dripping on their plush carpeting. I plopped down my gold card and slept on a real down stuffed bed that night (strange sight to see, it is more of a mound shape but extremely warm and comfortable).

Real class is a hotel with a concierge who does not hesitate to get a bell boy to carry your back pack!
