Humbly report, David, just to add to your summary of what once was, I'm sure you recall the time Cisco figured out how to embed pictures, blinking BIG and small red messages within posts, and messages showing up outside the post outlines. (Now puzzling remnants of those efforts can still be found all over SI, here for example: #reply-2488157) Just about crashed SI, as I recall, and Brad had to disable those features, in a hurry. None of us got bounced for those antics (I'll leave out the ones we did get tossed for) and SI settled back to the usual text-only message mode.
