Thanks for the additional insight. I assumed that when one upgraded their application, such a excel, to a version that is Y2K complaint, then the spreadsheets that one is working on would become complaint as well. I realize the formulas embedded in the spreadsheet would be using a 2 digit date but I thought that since the newer releases of these programs use "windowing" to determine the correct date they would correct any problem.
Anyway, I do not work in the computer field and I am not invested in any companies working on PC solutions to Y2K so this is more out of personal curiosity than investment knowledge. Live a little learn a little. Now its time to prepare for something that will most likely upset my stomach, watching my Jets face Miami. May the football gods have a little mercy!!
