Mike- Powertel, (PTEL) a cell phone co in SE U.S. 1998 EPS should be loss of $8.00/ share, if all goes well. Co's losses exceed its revenues. PTEL will need major additional captital by early 1999 at the latest. I shorted at 19.25, and covered too soon at 13.875. I think if this gets back up to 17 or 18 I may short again. But do your research. SCANA a southeast gas or elec utility, owns a fair portion of the co, and may buy more, although they did buy more just after I shorted, and it propped up the stock for all of a week and a half.
