I purchased the Diamond 56k model a couple
months ago, also after studying reviews, and it has worked perfectly.

I'm favoring external right now, but I'm still debating. For the 3Com Courier the external is only $20 more (forgot where). Boils down to either 3Com or Diamond.

Howard and ZP have given me the facts bywhich to decide, just have to mull it over some.

My current Global Village flashed to V.90 is erratic (sp?) with this new ISP. I range from 33k to a few 53k s, mostly 46 -49. At my old ISP I rarely veried from 46666bps . I guess its the above ground POTS out in the country vs the NYC POTS Iwas previously on. I get alot more dropped connections now ,too.
