On UseNet newsgroups there is a convention called a "Kill file" which blocks a reader from seeing postings by particular individuals. My kill files are constantly being revised... This concept wouldn't work here, it seems, because of the way they store articles as fixed texts in a database. They'd have to do a customized article fetch for each posting. I've talked to SI Management about it repeatedly. It would certainly cut down on the noise. But the reconfiguration of their software and what that would cost will probably keep it from happening. I think it's a must have in this world of shills and whiners and people who can't get beyond their own anger at having lost money. SI presents us with a unique opportunity in getting to know, practically instaneously, what other investors in a stock are like. The fact that the other investors are human beings and lie and exaggerate and forget and whine, could only be surprising, one would think, to an idiot.
