Thoughts For The Day Before Heading Off To the Annual Sonoma County "Harvest Fair".. Best Case Senario For The S&P 500. Because of pressing business, have not been doing my daily and weekly charting for the last couple of months and ALSO have been out of the markets at this time. (May not get back in until later next year). However, that said, what I believe is in store for the S&P 500 next week is the following: (This IS the best case senario.)...Yesterday, Friday, we finished the retest of the previous lows. This occured at the same time as the ending of the S&P 500 38 weeks cycle (TIMEWISE). Perfect timing. ..:) Now the S&P 500 begins its 19 weeks up move (of it's new 38 weeks cycle). But DON'T expect any miracles. (Like a new high.)...:( WORST CASE SENARIO FOR THE S&P 500....:( Although TIMEWISE the 38 week cycle has ended, Pricewise the S&P 500 decides that it still has one or two more weeks to go on the DOWNSIDE. Pick your own bottom on that type of senario....I can image that if we break the previous lows that Mr. Bob Precther will be appearing daily on all the business talk shows and be quoted adnaseum (sp?) in the daily local and national news. His newsletter business will go up thru several roofs...etc.,etc.,etc...:( REGARDS OUR DEARL OLD "XAU": If senario #1 for the S&P 500 comes about. (we have seen the bottom, at lease for now, for the S&P 500) then Monday morning DA BOYZ will be waiting for the XAU. Waiting for what? For the public to finish their buying of gold shares at the opening. 30-45 minutes later when the XAU has reach Master Searle's 85 point level, DA BOYZ WILL SELL. Result: XAU going down, S&P 500 taking off in the wild blue yonder. Remember all this IMHO. This IS A bloodied Prophet thou art listening to.... P.S. RE: XAU and 85. If one uses a weekly bar chart, the long line down from the June, 1996 highs seems to come in around 85 (see again Master Searle's prior posting a couple of weeks ago re: this) My call for a 78 high in the XAU was based on a XAU Weekly "closing line" chart which shows that decending line coming in at 78 (Close being Friday's Weekly close). ...That's it for now....Eyeballing The Chart Tom. (^.^)
