I used to do that with America Online years ago and learned that the best strategy is 1) don't write scripts for a stock (or the market) because they're rarely right, but 2) cut back some when the stock has been roaring and you begin hearing all notions of upside price targets. That seems to work the best for me. My original investment in AOL would have been worth over $30 million had I just kept it. I'm not worth anything near that.
