Can you or someone else please direct me to where AMZN said they wouldn't be
profitable till 2002?

Craig,

Amazon itself to the best of my knowledge has not made any statement as to when proftability may occur if ever. The sell side analyst in their reports haved move the year back to at least 2002 which I can show you in the Merrill Report. In fact, the sell side analysts do not even show a year in which they will turn a profit. The furthest out I can find is 2002.
