my point is that there are NO standard Intel based machines running more than 4 processors. The corallary 8-way chipset will change that eventually. The fact that Solaris runs well on a sequent does not have much to do with anything. NT runs fine on 30 way sequent machines too. This is due to sequent's unique architecture, these are not SMP machines.
