Yes, VERY nice! And since the trend for the week was down these recommendations fit in nicely.. Did you get any long candidates? If so, how did they do? Yes, there were a few long signals, but because of my own bearish outlook and the fact that the charts were uninspiring, I didn't follow-up on the signals in any way.I understand that OT has different "profiles". What profile were these from? Mostly I use Ed's Magic, Short-term trending and Short-term open. I run 5 different profiles on the same basket of stocks. The best signals come when more than one profile agrees on a direction. I.e, short-term aggressive may have flagged a sell earlier, now short trending agrees. Do you use it as a regular part of your trading strategy? Once you get candidates from OT what indicators do you look at before you make a decision to trade? Yes, most of my trades start with an OT signal, although now I've added 'Befriend the Trend' as another source. I'm still looking for the ideal verification strategy. The questions you asked on that first set of picks really helped me review them and come up with the very best trades. Once in a trade do you still use OT to help set stops, make sell decisions? Or does it do that? It can. I like working with a five day trade period, but if I catch a good trend I'll stay in longer. Mostly I watch stochastic(5.3) and Will%R. Once both of those "turn up" I'll exit. If I'm indecisive, I'll go back to OT to see what it says. Sorry for so many ?'s. I'm just looking for some training wheels or a safety net, as it were and it looks like this is what OT might offer. If it can help me keep my winning % up it would be well worth the cost. Working through these questions is very helpful for me. As I answer, I see what the strong and weak points of my method really are. OT saves me from spending a lot of time writing, testing and running scans. Even though my background was in computers and I know how to program, I don't enjoy programming. I figure they've already done the work of developing scans and the tool to match the appropriate scans to the stock. It still takes good judgement on which signals to follow, to get really good results.
