Jerry, Chile and Australia are easy. There is only one real choice in either, The Chile Fund (CH), and if you don't like copper, don't buy that one, and First Australia (IAF). CH is currently selling at a whopping 28% discount. IAF is at a more subdued 23% haircut.

In Canada, I like United Corps (UNC) with a 29% discount. UNC has a wilder portfolio than the more popular Canadian General (CGI), which sells at a 12% discount. If I were more conservative, I wouldn't have a problem with CGI. Also, Canadian World Fund is at a 33% discount and that one owns a lot of US shares.

I don't know of a New Zealand CEF listed in the US.

On a pure commodity play, I think the Malaysian Webs are not going to zero. At 1 and change, you have to think that somebody will buy tin some day. <G> But, the country is run by a lunatic, which has never stopped the USA. <G>
