Sam, tax exemptions are never bad. Only taxes. :-)

The fact that liberal Democrats in congress, through the NEA have willfully allowed the government school systems to disintegrate to the level they are today, is the major cause of disparity between socioeconomic classes. When children can enter safe schools, free from violence and learn the basics, wonderful things can happen to their future earning power.

The illiteracy rate in this country is a pointed condemnation on the pathetic instruction of our public/government school systems. I am amazed that people haven't revolted in far greater numbers by now.

Trapping underprivileged children in a cycle of ignorance like our public schools is a national disgrace. Parents should be given the FREEDOM to send their children to any school they want! And school superintendents should be held accountable for every child that cannot read by the 5th grade.

Since the creation of the Education Department, and the growth and influence of the NEA, every measurable academic achievement has gone down. That's the bottom line, and what everyone should care most about. Let's have the Education Department create FACT based systems of measurement, and let's get education out of politics.

America's children deserve best!

The Catholic school system has set the standard on excellence in education for decades. And they have done it with far fewer dollars per student than the government schools. Superintendents should be benchmarking their districts performance with the nearby Catholic schools.

I don't think I quite understand how receiving and promoting a quality education is creating ignorance Sam?

To me, ignorace is when you have every indication conceivable that a system of education is working pathetically, and yet refuse to change it's systemic structure out of fear.
