That's why they have a thing called selling high.

As against that, the one time I tried and failed to get shares for a short was CCSI when it poked back above $7 in mid-June. The next day it collapsed 25%, and it has gone nowhere good since.
In mid-June, everything started collapsing.

ACRT has come back nicely though. Still outperforming the overall market in the long and short term.
