GZ, you have left out half the market on a volume basis. The Nasdaq a/d continues to make lower lows. :-)

The advance decline 25 day cumulative sum, the simple difference of the up and down issues on the NYSE over the most recent 25 days, will give me the first buy signal since the July top even if the advances outnumber the declines on Monday by only 233 issues. I don't understand how you got the 233. I set up a spreadsheet today using the calculation you describe and got an October 2 number of -2350. Here are the numbers using IBD's advancers and decliners. What am I doing wrong?
