Richard, 1. With a takeover announcement, strikes beyond the takeover price depend upon whether or not there is any chance of a better deal on the horizon. Also, if the take over is paid for in stock, then the out of the moneys can become in the moneys depending upon the other stock. But, if it is a done deal and the acquireing stock declines, as usually happens, those out of the moneys will be hurting puppies.

2. I expect oil to rise based upon a weaker dollar, which is related to but not limited to rate cuts.
