kidl, Yes more important things.This was supposed to be a free weekend with no kids but last night we captured them and took them to a Scarecrow festival in beautiful Mahone Bay.One road closed in the town and hundreds of carved pumpkins adorned the side of the road and in trees all lit up.I was amazed to see the art work in the carvings.Simply amazing. At the end of the walk we came to a century old graveyard where "graveyard tours were given after dark" Stories of founding fathers was told and various other ghost stories and folklore whilst emanations and creatures of the night were portrayed by a local theater company in the background.It was truly excellent.I have to admit that something I frowned upon at first was most enjoyable.I pondered to myself that sometimes those things that seem so simple and cost nothing, are sometimes worth a thousand smiles inside.It was truly alot of fun.The kids really enjoyed it immensely. I have to hand it to the small town famous for it's churches and small town atmosphere.It was truly an excellent effort.I am thinking of going back to-day for the rest of the activities.Harvest supper...etc. All through the small picturesque town scarecrows adorned the sidewalks in front of the small boutiques and fall harvest scenes greeted you on the stroll about, every few steps.Once again the thought and scenery was excellent.There was a full moon and the weather was cool and crisp.
