If you read msg #3351, I think you will see that Mr. Pink didn't claim to sell any puts back out at 12; He merely stated that they "went out $12 bid"- that is, the closing market for the day showed a $12 bid.

(I guess in His wisdom He realized they would be worth a lot more if He waited).
