Dave,

I passed your message on to Jack. I'm sure he will be happy to receive it.

I wonder how our eminent president would have handled that last post of Jack's . Maybe something like "Well, it all depends how you define or describe *&)# or it depends on the exact or true meaning of(whatever)and I'm sure it would be OK. Or I didn't mean that, what I meant was, and they were looking at in a different way than I meant it to be.

Anyway it is what it is and hopefully with enough support, Jack might be back some day.

I believe lots of the posters on this thread will endorse your sentiments.

Regards,

Tom

**** OFF TOPIC****

Hello! Dave,

Your posting to the webmistress served as a very meaningful reminder for me! On various threads I have noticed lately there has been increasing bashing taking place ( some of which I am a shareholder!) Although I do not agree with some of the postings and personally I do not care for a bashing/negative attack on other people's investments--these type of bashing postings appear to continue in spite of the obvious damage it is doing! ( Things like having some posters --make less postings---express fewer opinions--which I think is sometimes caused by positive minded S.I. members just getting sick and tired of a negative tone to some of the threads.
Of course just my own opinion!

There have also been several bright positive's about being a member of S.I.--one example is having had the privledge to read your heart felt, caring/sharing postings---I think I would have to look far and wide to find someone else with your genuine caring about others!

I am in 100% agreement with you that Jack has a unique style! When I first joined S.I. I thought who is this Jack character--however I decided to invest some time and interact with Jack via the threads etc.,--and it didn't take to long to learn that Jack was the leader of several thread topics--and although he has some very strong opinions--he also has a heart of Gold.-----I view him as the life stream connection of the NYRR Thread---I feel many S.I. readers, followers, members, are partially here to see what Jack will do next!

I feel that there are other posters that have single handedly with their continual bashing and negative overtones have at least in the short term hurt some growth in a few of my investments! ( I'm talking now of other threads!) The funny thing is--they are still there, admitted that they are not shareholders--and methodically one by one are discouraging the positve individuals on those threads-who eventually start to disappear from the threads! I find this to be of great interest--maybe something like two sets of rules? JMO!

So! In summary! Jack Garnes and Dave Lee are two reasons why I am still motivated to be active on S.I.--the only problem is that only 50% of them are currently able to post on S.I.....

My vote is that Jack Garnes is reinstated and able to post to S.I.--
there is not much sense or value in having a thread without it's thread leader! JMO!

And Dave Lee? You have got a heart and soul of GOLD! I hope it is not too long until you are duly rewarded for your humanitarian efforts.

Best Regards,

Wayne J.

Hello! Dave,

For those of you that have been following the dynamics of this thread for the past 6 months or so may be able to bettor digest a dream I had last night!

I have no idea what ( if any) significance it has --or potentially could have but here it goes!

I dream't that there is this person sitting by a swimming pool with a dog beside them. He is pointing towards me saying do not give away your shares of NYRR at these prices--or the dog will get very angry.

Now! I know how silly this dream will sound to most of you--and I do not usually go around posting my dreams on the S.I. Threads--but I thought that if anything it might serve as an amusing anecdote--during these quiet times! And just to be on the safe side I'm probably going to hold on to most of my NYRR Shares for a little while longer --just in case there was anything to this dream. JMO!

By the way this posting was in no way intended for anyone to buy, sell or otherwise with their investments--each of you have worked very hard for your money--please do what you feel is right for you!

By the way! Anyone else having any dreams about NYRR or any other stocks lately!

Pleasant Dreams To All!

Wayne J.

P.S. That's the last time I eat any of my own cooking!--I hope!

My 10 minutes of glory on the NYRR Thread is well spent, then.

So i will continue with some further thoughts here, but no
intentions to go overboard like Meathead! -g-
...Yet for dreams, our future predictions and all...

Jack may not know where i came from. He never asked for me to be
around, and hardly knows me. I just happened to drift by what i
consider a very magnetic personality one day. Through reading
some of his posts and a bit of confusion i realized quite quickly,
here was a died in the wool investor with an unusual added twist.
The extra feature he offers to all is his compassion.

He knows the formula to expand peoples' horizons and the benefit
of them doing so.

In my opinion, the essence of Jack's style has great purpose,
and is appropriately ahead of it's time!

We seem to be satisfied "to assume present market conditions
will sustain us through the ever increasing toughness of the
developing world situation". Is this the truth? ..If not,
what type of statements from people will we most appreciate
in the future?

Imagine yourself, if you still have your money, wondering
where to place your bets "then". In some far away foreign securities?
-The presently ignored Alberta Stock Exchange?
Or Endless possibilities? ....Our situation does evolve!

Boy, could i use comments from a more tested individual such as him
(and coming from his unabashed "self"!) in the times of bear market
treachery that may soon be upon us. "Many here have seen only the
"warm fuzzy" market of the near past."

This is one person who demands of us "wake-up-calls! -On schedule"!
These are based on warm "and cold" facts, both of which good
investors should make an obligation to themselves to be aware of.

If jack remains unable to return, i must be satisfied to remember
him as one of the few people who have offered me a good manner of
personal substance. I can still use my memory of him to compare and
evaluate similar qualities other investors on SI may seem to
possess.

But jack's admittedly course words and simplified explanations provided
an unbeatable combination -for those who would listen- "to be more
comfortably able to beat a path towards the truth".

For his finer quality, he will always have my highest compliment.
And SI may not be quite as willing to give way to complaint,
should they allow themselves to be made aware of this quality
through our good Webmistress, Jill.
