No disparity there. 'We the people' ain't dumb.<vbg>

Rude:

The opposite is also true, as it was in Q1 and Q2. Your example would read:

If CPQ ships 5 million units to the channels and the channels
sell 10 million actual units to the customers and if DELL ships 2 million actual units to their customers the report will show.

CPQ sold = 5 million units
DELL sold= 2 million units

But you see the 5 of the 10 million units the channels sold were already counted earlier when it was actually shipped to them and why would anybody want to count that again unless the intention is to overstate the facts and fool 'we the people'.This is all so simple I think 'channel stuffers' want to muddy the water and try to confuse the public but we are on to them big time. The report looks just fine as there is nothing wrong with it. The 'stuffers' can try but as they say on the street-'they ain't foolin' nobody, man'.<vbg>

Thanks again for your thoughts, much obliged as usual.

PS: If there is any incongruity anywhere it is in the minds of the 'stuffers' and not with IDC or DATAQUEST.
